Why is EORTH excited to stock Brush with Bamboo’s Toothbrushes?
Brush with Bamboo toothbrush bristles are as close to plastic free as you can get! Bush with Bamboo use no glues to hold their cardboard toothbrush packaging together, and is printed with non-toxic inks, making it safe to compost. The bamboo handle is 100% organic and the security wrapper on the toothbrush is made from non-GMO wood cellulose (compostable). While most bamboo toothbrush bristles are made from a nylon material Brush with Bamboo Toothbrush bristles are made with plant-based nylon bristles (using 62% castor been oil). Unfortunately, like nearly every toothbrush on the market today, this doesn’t mean you can compost the bristles or that they will biodegrade — they will still need to be removed from the bamboo handle when the toothbrush needs to be replaced.
What is a USDA BioBased Product Certification?
The BioBased certification program provides accreditation for products whose ingredients are sourced from renewable, biological resources. BioBased products are replacements for petroleum-based products. By reducing the amount of plastics produced (which are petroleum-based), we are helping to protect our oceans and stopping unnecessary waste going into landfill.
Upwards of 2 billion plastic toothbrushes end up in oceans and landfills every year. Switching to a bamboo toothbrush is one small change you can make to help protect our environment.
The variety of bamboo used in this bamboo toothbrush handle does not have an impact on pandas.
