How long will a reusable wrap last?
How long a wrap lasts for is dependant on how often is it used, and if you clean it in very hot water or not. When cleaning your wrap be sure not to submerge it in hot water for long periods as this will remove some of the wax from the wrap. Typically a wrap should last for up to a year of general use.
We recommend you wash your reusable food wrap prior to the first use. The food wrap may be a little stiff at first, simply scrunch in your hands to soften before using. When using your wrap, select a wrap that is larger than item you a covering, leaving enough room to cover the food item as well as allowing for some overlap. Vegan Food Wraps stick best when they overlap themselves, but will also mould perfectly around the outside of your bowl or food container.
After wrapping your container, place the wrap in the fridge to allow the wrap to stiffen. Once removed from the fridge it will quickly soften again.
Reusable Food Wraps can be rinsed under lukewarm water soapy water. Use a cloth to wipe dry or simply hang over a rack or other kitchen item to allow to dry naturally. Do not use hot or boiling water, or detergents as this will affect the quality and lessen the life of your wrap.
Wraps are not suitable for microwave or oven usage.
