Stainless Steel Wire pegs — the best eco friendly clothes pegs on the market! These Grade 201 Wire clothes pegs should be used for normal laundry conditions only. Leaving these wire pegs outside on the clothes line may aid in the peg developing surface rust. If you’d like to leave your wire pegs on the clothes line after you’ve removed your laundry, you may want to opt for the more durable 304 Grade Stainless Steel variety. Made from high quality stainless steel wire! The 201 Grade Stainless Steel Clothes pegs come packaged in a double drawstring hemp bag. Each peg is 5.8cm (L) x 1.75mm (D). Unlike plastic pegs, these wire clothes pegs will last a long time and won’t break down due to the harsh Australian heat, nor will they fall apart in your hands. The entire stainless steel wire clothes peg is made up of just one single piece of wire.

Are wire clothes pegs suitable for windy conditions?

Any of the wire clothes pegs, regardless of the grade of stainless steel you choose, will hold up well in windy environments. Although they are gentle on your clothes they will tight to the line.

Do Stainless Steel Pegs get hot to touch?

It’s an obvious question to be concerned about. Nobody wants a peg that’s going to burn their fingertips when removing it from the clothes line! If this is your concern, you can rest easy. EORTH have tested these wire pegs in the tropical FNQ 40+ degree summer, and we can happily report we don’t have any burnt skin on the tips of our fingers! As the peg is only made from a thin single wire loop, rather than a full metal area, the air is able to flow through the wire peg, allowing it to stay cool to the touch.

Will my Stainless Steel Wire Pegs rust?

If you live in close proximity to the ocean, the 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Pegs may be more preferable, as they are the highest grade stainless steel wire peg available. EORTH have been testing the 304 Stainless Steel Clothes Pegs, two kilometres back from the ocean, and rust is not an issue. Should you encounter any surface rust on your pegs you can soak them in a CLR solution for a few weeks. After this period they will be like new!
